There’s nothing quite like rich, decadent, melt in your mouth homemade chocolate fudge. Now there’s a lot of fudge recipes out there, some including ingredients like marshmallow fluff or sweetened condensed milk, and these recipes often advertise how they’re “foolproof” or “no candy thermometer needed.” And look, I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with these recipes. I mean, it’s chocolate fudge for goodness sake. But I do think there’s something to be said for a little hard work and patience when the end result is this amazing. This is the fudge your grandmother used to make – soft, slightly crumbly, rich and absolutely impossible to stop after just one piece. Fun fact: this is actually a chocolate fudge icing recipe, and it’s wonderful used to ice a cake. But who needs the cake when you can just pour the icing in a pan and call it fudge?
